Some women describe holding their baby for the first time with rapture.  I've heard moms say that when they put the baby on your chest there's no feeling like it in the world.  I've given birth four times and four times have thought, "gross."  

When I was pregnant the first time I thought my labor would be pain-free.  It wasn't.  So it took me a few days to watch her breathe, and count her eyelashes, and let the new life in my arms take hold of my universe.  You know how it goes after that.  Click here to learn more about newborn sessions.
